Significance of crank case breather pipes in relation to crank case explosion??

crank case breather vents are provided to avoid mist formation inside crankcase. The other end of breather is led to the  mist box or the Oil mist eliminator situated at a higher level. 
 A "mist box"  or "Oil mist eliminator" is provided for d accumulation and settling  down of mist which is form during normal operation.Mist box has vent/breather inlet from machinery liable to form mist such as diesel generator, me and incinerator.

A mist box or Oil mist eliminator in a Closed Crankcase Ventilation system (CCV) .
