Why the discharge pump in a purifier called as centripetal pump?

In this pump, oil from outside enters into it and exit the pump through oil outlet.This is just like the centripetal force which acts inward.And speciality of this pump is that this pump does not rotate.Just because of rotation of bowl,oil comes in rotational motion and enters in this pump

    Can anyone tell how this paring tube stuff works. This kind does not have a gravity disc.
